OpenAI commits to massive Ohio data center — with Nvidia's help
OpenAI has signed the lease for what could be one of the largest data-center hubs in the nation, WebNovare reports, citing unnamed sources. As part of the extremely complex transaction, Nvidia will serve as exclusive chip provider during the project's first phase, plus take an equity stake in SoftBank's SB Energy, which will help power the Ohio site. In an essay published Monday on WebNovare, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang explained the significance of the deal, declaring, "In the AI economy, compute is revenue."
