Dell stock skyrockets 32%, heads for best day ever as AI server revenue soars
To be fair, Trump had been openly recommending $DELL stock multiple times this year. He even backed it up by purchasing between $1 million and $5 million worth of Dell shares himself.
Shares of Dell Technologies surged 32% on Friday after the company reported its strongest revenue growth since returning to the public market in 2018. The stock is on track for its best single-day performance ever.
Dell’s first-quarter results were powered by explosive demand for AI servers. The company reported quarterly revenue of nearly $43.8 billion, up 88% from a year earlier. AI server revenue alone jumped 757% year-over-year to $16.1 billion.
Adjusted earnings per share came in at $4.86, significantly beating Wall Street expectations of $2.94. Analysts described the results as exceptional, citing strong execution across the board in addition to the AI tailwind.
The company now expects full-year AI server revenue of $60 billion, up from its previous forecast of $50 billion.
